Lake

Chapter 4|Diamonds

Lake

The moon rose slowly

Over the icicle water

Here she lay

Shivering

Teeth chattering

and she said

“At least my heart is still warm”

Her thoughts floated to the storm

Where she was lost

Over sauced

On empty thoughts

And she said

After stimulated by memory

“At least the stars are shimmery

in my eyes.”

The moon still rises

Over the icicle water

Here she’ll say

Thawing

Skin calling

The warmth of the sun

On lips

And thighs

“Come to me with no lies

in your heart.”

She’ll say.
