Chapter 7 | Mountain Top

Lay there

Ear to chest

An orchestra of blood and chambers

To lull you to slumber

Your tongue

An after taste

Of my salt and sex mingled with your own

To ferment in your mouth

Closed lids

Eyes flutter beneath

I watch you see something beautiful

Your face glows relaxed

To trust

This woman’s care

To guard this vulnerable body

An honor I adore

Trust me

Have sweet dreams

I will be your bed that you dream upon.

To keep you warmly safe my husband.
